(Though you can't see it in this shot--they're called Palo Verdes because the bark, as well as the leaves, are green. When they bloom, it's breathtakingly beautiful.

The knees are better, and so are the toes (which I'm told I was lucky not to lose in January). They're not great, and standing on tile or walking too much isn't a lot of fun. Am going to get signed up at Fit Center (tomorrow) where I can walk in water, and generally exercise and build strength and stamina.
My other big problem now is that it's April-- AND TONY ISN'T HERE! I miss him dreadfully. And he's the one with the better camera and good photos. He won't be coming until probably November--and that's a long, long, long time.
