Watched it this evening. Was a bit sad as he seemed to stumble a bit when he spoke - but then as he would say, is it because he's 61 or is it Alzheimer's?

Yes, he did discuss assisted suicide, argued you should be able to put your case to a tribunal.

Not something I would agree with, a particularly morbid subject. But then I am lucky enough not to suffer from a terminal disease, so cannot judge how I would feel in his situation.

We love you Terry P!

Welcome to the site, scatty hatty! :D And thanks for the reminder. I just watched it on the BBC iPlayer.

Actually, I thought Terry did very well indeed. Remember, he's not using a script. I think most of us would stumble on a live TV show. I've seen Terry talking years before his illness and this he spoke just as eloquently tonight as ever. :)

And 61 is no age at all.

I remembered that he is only 7 years older than me! Blimey, I started to feel old whem I saw those childrens programmes!

I thoughy he was brilliant. It's bad enough on stage (well it was occasionaly for me) but on national tele with the world looking on... all power to Sir pTerry!

Welcome Scatty Hatty. I think you'll like it here
