Not sure if this has been posted before as I didn't want to trudge through 23 pages to find out lol but can anyone give me tips / help in downsizing my Avatar? It's currently 36K but I use it on most sites so don't want to change it[/img]

Make a copy of the pic then downsize the copy.

Not sure where it is, but Tony did post something up about avatarrs and how to download one. It might mean leafing through old threads...sorry, brain not working at full yet.

It's more a case of making the byte size smaller in this case - without making the avatar too small to see.

To be honest, I'm not sure how to do that. I used to have a Microsoft progam that came with Office to do that on my old computer, but I don't have it on my new one. :?

i think i downsized mine using the Paint Accesory that comes on all computers. I opened the image then selected the image tab -> stretch Skew and reduced the size by changing both values to 50% then saved it as a new file and hoped it was small enough :D

You can also rezize in Microsoft office picture manager which is on most comps . Select edit picture tab then on the right of the screen are options to resize and compress the image. :D
