Did anyone else sleep through it? Had a little party with Mr D, which ended at 11:30 when I fell asleep on t'sofa waiting for my go at Guitar Hero. Ah well!
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I was in bed and reading when the fireworks went off, but was asleep before they finished. :)

We managed to stay awake until the Times Square NY ball drop occurred.

Happy New Year and may we all prosper, gain happiness and peace in our lives.

We went out to meet up with friends on the Venetian Bridge, which is a good vantage point to view most of the firework displays in the local area.
We (obviously) took some alcohol with us, but it was so bitterly cold that I struggled to hold the glass. Image
At one stage we even had hail stones raining on us!
Brrr!

I finally went to bed at gone 5am this morning, but taped the firework display in London - which was brilliant to watch ... especially in the warmth of my home!

Happy New Year, Everyone!
Going to my school was an education in itself. Which is not to be confused with actually getting an education (Schultz)

welcome to the forum, lyn.

I spent the new year with my family in a friend's house. The fireworks went off half and hour early by our clock, but small cheapos had been bursting everywhere since 9 o clock!
The fireworks were pretty good; the apt. gave us a good view and the smoke in the air kept turning green; i thought prof. flead was round the corner.

God that was a night!
I went to my dad's gig (he's the new vocalist of a band called "Pepper Jack" and they are brilliant!) with a friend of mine and it was just brilliant. I've never seen my dad like this before: he went on the stage, wearing a black leather jacked and a pair of sunglasses went totally mad on that stage
Oh, and we missed the countdown  In the middle of the song, everybody stood up and wished each other a happy new year.
