Happy Birthday Batty & Tonyblack

Postby poohcarrot » Sat Nov 14, 2009 8:34 am

It's November 15 here in Japan already, and it would have been a bit silly if Tony did his own birthday. (Dotsie spotted it)

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY

While every effort (ie; none whatsoever) has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the following information, it probably isn't

4,500,000,000 BC - Rincewind drops his sandwich and creates life
28,000 BC - The golem that exploded in Going Postal was given life. (his name begins with an "A", I think, but can't be bothered to check)
5,009 BC - Dios, High Priest of Djelibebi born
4,773 BC 10:53 am - Carl S Berg invents alcohol as a cure for knurd
10:54 am - Bibulous (God of wine) comes into existence
10:55 am - Quaffing invented
10:59 am - Yobbo (God of did-you-spill-my-pint?) comes into existence

261 AD - Arthur Mind (Batty's ancestor) invents the first bad pun
472 AD - Vlad the slightly unpleasent (Uberworld vampire) is killed
863 AD - Battle of Koom Valley where the sneaky Lawn Ornaments ambush the plucky Trolls
932 AD - Vlad the slightly unpleasent is killed (again)
975 AD - Battle of Koom Valley where the sneaky Rocks ambush the plucky Dwarves
1859 AD - Jim Cloop (although dead) is re-elected Mayor of Scrote
1877 AD - Truckle the Uncivil born - so f*** off you w***ers!
1889 AD - Smi-Lee (Batty's ancestor) South Korean inventor of the smiley icon is born
1893 AD - Casanunder (aged 3) seduces his kindergarten teacher
1901 AD - Alchemist's Guildhall built
1902 AD - Alchemist's Guildhall explodes and is rebuilt

1909 AD - Vlad the slightly unpleasent is killed again (etc etc)
1912 AD - Coffin Henry coughs up phlegm for the first time
1923 AD - Leonard of Quirm finishes his masterpiece "The Mona Ogg"
1932 AD - Hodgesaargh is attacked by his own cuddly toy parrot while in his pram

1984 AD - Tonyblack gets a job as a postman with the Royal Mail
1985 AD - Tonyblack is promoted to work on the counter (Wow!)
1993 AD - Sjoerd, aged 8, plays his first game of Cluedo. After meticulously eliminating all the alternatives, he boldly states that it was "Colonel Mustard in the Billiard Room with the lead-piping." He is completely wrong on every count!

Image pooh! I was literally laughing out loud!

One question though, "4,500,000,000 BC - Rincewind drops his sandwich and creates life" - Surely there must have already been life if Rincewind was around and in possession of a sandwich? ... or are you suggesting that Rincewind is a sandwich short of a picnic?? Image

I will wait until tomorrow to post a message to Tony. :D

Thank you, also CrysaniaMajere! :D :D

It's not yet sunday I shall congratulate you both tommorow

I'd have been 7 thank you so very much (am 5 months older than Tony assuming you got his year of birth correct - or is it just that your math is wonky?.... )

V. Well done though - A+++++ :lol:
